Hi Wendy, I am interested in dowsing for buried treasure. What is the best method? John
Hello John, There are several techniques, all of which are fairly easy, and you do not need to invest in expensive tools and equipment. Map dowsing requires a large map of the area you wish to dowse and a fine pendulum, such as a needle suspended on a thread of about six inches in length. Hold the pendulum steadily. Ask the Spirit of the Divination for what you are seeking. You could also hold a piece of gold or silver in your dowsing hand, such as an old coin, to register the energies you want to attract. The needle should be at rest until you discover your sought for substance. Mark the place on the map. When you visit the area on foot, take a Y rod made from the wood of a water tree, such as hazel or willow (or L rod made from metal) and field walk the area shown by the needle on the map. Place a piece of the desired metal in your pocket and ask the Spirit of Divination to take you to buried treasure.
Richard Webster, a well known researcher and writer suggests if you want to find copper, paint your pendulum dark violet, and use red to search for iron and black to search for silver because these colours attract these metals.
Good luck!
